Market Commentary
Wheat Losses Led by Chicago, as Stronger Dollar Continues to Climb -
The wheat complex continued their slide this week, the three markets falling lower on the midweek session. Chicago SRW futures were down 9 ½ to 11 Hogs Settle with Mixed Wednesday Trade -Lean Hog futures posted mixed action on Wednesday, as contracts were down 57 cents to 22 cents higher across the board. The national average base Cotton Bounces to Post Wednesday Gains -Cotton futures reverted from the early weakness on Wednesday to post gains of 1 to 14 points at the close, with a couple early ’25 contracts Cattle Close Mixed on Wednesday -Live cattle futures settled the Wednesday session with contracts down 2 to 37 cents in the front months and up 7 to 22 cents in the deferreds. This Soybeans Pull Off Session Lows to Close Marginally Lower -Soybeans closed out the Wednesday session with contracts down 2 ¾ to 4 cents, as nearby and soon to expire November was up 3/4.. CmdtyView’s Corn Losses Limited As Outside Pressure Piles On -The corn bulls tried to hold up on Wednesday despite spillover pressure from a weaker wheat market and stronger US dollar.
